Hotels.com revealed the list of the best shopping districts both Americans and tourists can go to splurge on designer clothing and appliances, reported Equities.com.

According to the Global Language Monitor's Top 50 Fashion Capitals, London ranks number one as the city where all the selections of brand name sunglasses, sneakers, clothing, you name it, it can be found.

American cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and Boston also appear on the list.

"Shopping is a must-do activity for many travelers and is often the sole reason for a trip to a city like New York or Los Angeles," said Taylor L. Cole, APR, travel expert for Hotels.com said in a press release. "We try to make it as easy as possible for customers to find highly-rated properties within close proximity to their interests through our handy landmarks search option. In the spirit of fashion week, we've gone a step further to highlight some of our top guest reviewed properties nearby the nation's best shopping destinations."

Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Calif. was voted best in designer labels boutiques-best for the upscale travelers-and the high-end luxury hotels.

Chicago also has a mix of upscale department luxury boutiques and restaurants travelers can fancy. Hotels.com points out The (four-star) Sofitel Chicago Water Tower is just few blocks away from a shopping center.

Union Square in San Francisco, Calif. is where you can find one of the top Macy's stores in the country and the recommended Tiffany & Co and Salvatore Ferragamo spots.

New York had been trying to get back the top spot from London the past two times on the list for the top fashion capital, but it's still number two.  Manhattan is the place for the likes of all brand name clothing from SoHo to Herald Square and the Garment District, the choices and places are endless.
