The fans are waiting for the return of "Empire'' season two where two guests stars, Marisa Tomei and Chris Rock, will be playing big roles. Tomei will play the role of a corporate hotshot in league with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), who has a thing for the ladies.

Ecumenical News said that Chris Rock will reportedly play a rival role of Lucious (Terrence Howard) in prison, supposedly a cannibal. Fans will expect also to see Ludacris as a cocky prison officer, popular Latina singer Becky G, and Andre Royo "The Wire's'' sleazy lawyer. Also appearing this season are Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Andre Leon Talley, Pitbull, Mariah Carey, and the Rev. Al Sharpton.

"Empire'' season two opens with the episode "The Devils are Here.'' There will be a time jump of three months, with Lucious still in jail and his son, Jamal (Jussie Smollett).

Season 2 promises to touch important topics like the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality.

"Empire" season two returns on Sept. 23 on Fox.

Ludacris is the latest to join Empire season two. The musician announced via Instragram his involvement with the new Fox series. He shared: "This could get interesting...#empireseason2.'' Ludacris is going to play a prison guard, or maybe as undercover for Lucious Lyon?

According to E! Online, the Oscar-winning star of My Cousin Vinny, Marisa Tomei, will play a billionaire venture capitalist who gets involved with the company. And why not? She loves hip hop, fashion, money and ladies.

Chris Rock was seen in Instagram posts by co-creator Daniels in a prison orange jumpsuit alongside Terrence Howard. Alicia Keys will appear in some capacity, but no word yet about character details. Magic Mike hunk (Adam Rodriguez) will play a love interest for Cookie. White Men Can't Jump star Tyra Ferrell is also set to play a lawyer on season two.
