The annual real estate event of Qatar, Cityscape Qatar is slated to be held from May 27 to 29, 2013 at the Doha Exhibition Center. The event will primarily focus on the state's growing real estate opportunities and growth prospective.

Cityscape Global is a major platform where developers, architects, consultants, designers and contractors come into contact with governments of various countries to discuss real estate projects, major developments and key future investment opportunities.

The first Cityscape event in Qatar took place with the support of His Excellency, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2012. Drawing around 81 exhibitors and more than 5000 delegates and visitors from 58 countries, the first edition was a huge success. The state hopes that the 2013 edition will be a greater success as real estate investment opportunities are prime in the region, reports ConstructionWeekOnline.com.

The future prospects of real estate investment are indeed great in the state. With the amount of oil revenue coming in and the upcoming FIFA world cup in 2022, Qatar's international profile is rising.

The total number of real estate transactions in Qatar doubled by the end of 2012. It was around 59.1 percent more than the figures of 2011. Construction activity has also picked up speed, which is expected to be the major growth booster for the state, reports MENAFN.com.

"The Qatari real estate sector is thriving due to its growing young population, rising number of households, and increasing business activity. Working in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 to develop the real estate sector and to meet the development needed in the country's infrastructure prior to 2022 FIFA World Cup, this year's Cityscape Qatar will provide a platform for networking and business where industry professionals can meet to discuss the future of the Qatari real estate industry and formulate strategies for growth," Atif Malik, Cityscape Qatar exhibition manager, said in a statement.

The exhibition will simultaneously take place with the Qatar Real Estate Summit. The summit will discuss issues like identifying opportunities in tourism, retail, commercial and sports real estate. The conference will also address latest industry issues of financing, sustainable profit earning and various other construction schemes.
