The "Attack on Titan" movie has premiered in North America just recently. However, the experience has not been so pleasant in San Francisco because the English Subtitle became a total disaster.

Tech Times gives a brief report on the incident. It says that during the screening of the first part of the 2-part film of "Attack On titan" live-action adaptation in San Francisco, the English subtitles screwed up when the movie was already "about a third of the way." The subtitle "I've been waiting for this day!" froze for about 20 minutes while the scenes proceeded one after the other.

Daniel Barnes, a Kotaku reader, was one of the audience of the "Attack On titan" live-action movie that evening and a witness to the mishap. According to the report, theater employees stopped the film and announced that they would play the movie again from the start. But not everyone was happy about it and no longer willing to watch again another 30 minutes, so those who left were recompensed with a voucher for the trouble.

It has also been reported that some of the audience took to social media in expressing their disappointments. It has been found out also that it was not only in the San Francisco screening wherein there was subtitle disaster in the "Attack On Titan" movie. "Apparently, multiple other theaters have also encountered the issue, though it's unclear what exactly is causing the problem." However, it has not been reported that the problem is widespread since the live-action film of the flesh-eating giant has been shown in over 300 theaters in the U.S.

On the other hand, Anime News Network reports that FUNimation Entertainment (who distributes the film in North America) has given ANN a comment concerning the "Attack On Titan" movie glitch on its English subtitles on Thursday. The company says in the statement that they were hoping that the U.S audience would have a great experience in viewing the live-action film. Unfortunately, it didnt turn out that way.

FUNimation says that they were aware of the subtitle problem on Sept. 28 and had alerted all the exhibitors of the glitch of the "Attack On Titan"English subtitles. According to the distributor company, aside from alerting them, they were also told to work with "Deluxe to provide a simple fix that same day to correct the software error. FUNimation and Deluxe followed up with all exhibitors the next day - Tuesday, September 29." Unfortunately, those theaters that didn't implement the fix, obviously encountered the subtitle problem. But the FUNimation says that they are already in contact with those specific theaters so that the glitch of the subtitles will be fixed. Thus, Ensuring that the problem would not "occur again during the remainder of the Attack on Titan Part 1 theatrical run."

Learning the facts about the glitch of the "Attack On Titan"English subtitles, what could possibly be done more to ensure that this problem never happens?
