Eleanor Acquavella Dejoux of the Acquavella Galleries, which specializes in 19th- and 20th-century European art, and husband Morgan Dejoux have purchased a duplex apartment at the 840 Park Avenue co-op for $8.85 million, according to city records and first reported by the New York Post.
The duplex have four-bedrooms and 4 1/2-bathrooms. The prewar duplex maisonette includes Venetian-plaster foyer walls and limestone floors. The corner living room features a woodburning fireplace. A grand staircase leads to the bedrooms on the second floor.
The Dejoux also received a storage unit on the 14th floor thrown in for good measure.
The sellers were David and Elizabeth Winter who recently bought a $26 million residence at 778 Park Ave.
Mr. Winter comes from a long line of New York developers, and joined his family's namesake Winter Organization in 2002.
