Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her quarterback husband, Tom Brady, are  looking for a home in the West Village area of New York.

Broker Ryan Serhant of "Million Dollar Listing" told the New York Post about the couple's real estate  hunt.

The couple is no stranger to the area. Brady owned a home in the Time Warner building, which he sold for around $17.5 million in 2011 while Bundchen also recently unloaded her West Village townhouse for $4.4 million, reports Huffington Post.

The house hunt is a little surprising because the couple just finished construction on their ultra-luxurious and super large manse in Los Angeles. They recently moved into the 22,000 square feet mansion that includes eight bedrooms, a large shapely swimming pool, a moat and many such exclusive features.

The couple was highly criticized for their splurge and building such a large home. However, in an interview with People's magazine, Bundchen  countered all the criticism stating that the home was completely eco-friendly and did not need any extra resources.

"We are excited to be using solar power as the main source of electricity in our home. And we are planting our own herbs, fruits and vegetables, which will be my favorite part of the house," she said.

Building large homes is becoming a fad. Recently, the Versailles Mansion, which upon completion will be the largest home in America, resumed construction.
