After much speculation and controversy the famous American furniture décor chain, Restoration Hardware, will finally open the doors of its brand new Back Bay Boston store to the public Saturday, April 13.
Restoration Hardware celebrated the launch of its brand new store on March 6, 2013. However, the opening party was shut down by the police as a large number of people flocked the store exceeding its 2000-head limit.
Though the store was slated to open its doors to the public on its launch date, some issues related to the building's fire alarm, its 'complicated' elevator system and exhaust system stalled the opening.
The store will open on Saturday as the company has received a certificate of occupancy from Boston's Inspectional Services.
Curbed managed to get a peek into the plush interiors of the store. Apparently, the new store is laden with amazing features both architectural and "shop-able". The gallery has a fresh flower boutique, a billiards room, a music room and a cinema as well! And if you thought that was all, the awe-inspiring glass pavilions and the many designer chandeliers lighting up the place would definitely blow your mind away.
In addition to the aforementioned features, an eatery, a pub, a wine and beer bar and an indoor conservatory also form a part of the affluent store. The store will also host small events like showers, weddings, reunions etc.

Restoration Hardware has refurbished the building, which once served as the New England Museum of Natural History. The three-story building is spread across an area of 40,000 square feet and was built in the nineties by famous architect, Williams Gibbons Preston.
