After moderating the 'Once Upon A Time' panel at the New York Comic-con on Friday, wherein this week's episode "Siege Perilous'' was screened, series co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis was asked about the biggest twists, and what's next.
TV Line said that when Hook was challenged to profess his feelings for newly Dark Emma, he answered in the past tense with, "I loved you.'' Will Emma let that stand or will she push the issue?
"Her next move is a well-placed mix tape,'' Kitsis equipped. "No, Emma's next move is more like Hook is going to make the next move, finding out who she is. Hook has spent a long time pursuing a Dark One and thus knows a lot about Dark Ones, so his main goal is saving Emma from herself."
As evidenced from the episode -- when Hook asks what the Dark One is after -- "The internal conflict remains a huge thing for her,'' Horowitz said. "She is dark, but she does have feelings for Hook, and those things are at war within her and really are pushing her in the action she's going to be taking next.''
According to TV Line, 'Once Upon a Time' will see Hook's past -- not to mention the belly of Belle during Season 5 as the producers of the show announced Friday during a New York Comic-Con panel moderated by Matt Mitovich.
The series' co-creators told the audience that Hook's father will be introduced prior to the long winter break of the drama in an episode that focuses on Colin O'Donoghue's alter ego and Lana Parilla's Evil Queen.
Co-creator Adam Horowitz previewed the series saying, "We're going to see an adventure with Hook and the Evil Queen.''
Still to be cast in the drama is Hook's father who will be seen in flashbacks examining the character's childhood. "We'll see Hook as a little boy,'' affirmed Kitsis.
The bosses of the show also confirmed that the schedule for this split season is slightly different.
