When CBS' hit series "Elementary'' Season 4 returns, it will put an end to some mysteries, solve crimes, and at the same time continue to battle demons.
Viewers have seen in the previous installment that Sherlock Homes, portrayed by Johnny Lee Miller, has finally given in to his heroin addiction after he's beaten up by his former dealer, Oscar.
According to Vine Report, during the San Diego Comic Con, executive producer Robert Doherty teased that he may not disentangle himself quickly out of his personal dilemma. "A problem like that doesn't really go away. It's not a huge nemesis that has now been dealt with,'' said Doherty.
Due to the altercation, Sherlock (Johnny Lee Miller) together with Dr. Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) will be out of a job, but they will get an offer from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Moreover, the fans of the series will be delighted when John Noble joins the cast as the patriarch Morland Homes, whose appearance may cause some tension between Sherlock and Dr. Watson. The role of John Noble is the first character made for the series and was introduced only by his name in the past.
Noble has also said at Comic Con that it will be interesting to see how Morland gets to his son's skin. "It's interesting having him be flustered and annoyed. He is a genius, but Morland is also very smart," shared Noble.
"Elementary" Season 4 will premiere on Nov. 5 at 10pm EST.
The finale of 'Elementary' Season 3 left things for Sherlock Homes in a dark place.
Den of Geek said that John Noble as Denethor in 'The Lord of the Rings' movies has joined the cast as Sherlock's "wealthy, estranged'' father. What's interesting is that he won't be appearing temporarily -- but he's going to be a series regular.
There's not much information yet about the story of 'Elementary' Season 4. But executive producer Rob Doherty told TV Line about why the father of Sherlock Homes will be finally seen in the upcoming season.
