The new patch for "DOTA 2" will reportedly include mysterious codes presumed to point to the next installment in Valve's game, "Half Life 3.''

A strange file called "hl3.txt" included in the multiplayer versions is reported to have texts that are out-of-place for DOTA's sequence. The file is said to give details on alleged procedural generation, movements of ziplines, co-operative NPC, squad, VR movement and FOV.

Although it's quite hard to define what the codes really mean, it is reported that they seem convincing, especially as the update comes from the developers.

Fans suggest that there's a possibility that Valve may be trolling this time and the codes may not come into fruition since there are no official words yet after the statement of head Gabe Newell earlier this year.

According to Vine Report, Gabe Newell is uncertain about Half Life 3 saying, "But you know if you want to do another Half-Life game and you want to ignore everything we've learned in shipping Portal 2 and in shipping all the updates on the multiplayer side that seems like a bad choice. So we'll keep moving forward. But that doesn't necessarily always mean that people are worried what it might mean."

Cinema Blend said that fans of "DOTA 2" probably didn't expect this latest game update. A file that potentially nods to 'Half-Life 3' is a highly-anticipated third chapter of the most beloved first-person shooter series of all time.

For those who are wondering what all the fuss is about, some probably missed out something on 'Half-Life' and 'Half-Life 2' when they first arrived. They were a lot of fun to play. And they also led to the creation of games like 'CounterStrike' and 'Team Fortress 2,' which still have users to this day.

As 'Half-Life 2' ends on a cliffhanger, fans have been waiting for a long time to find out how the tale ends.
