"Attack on Titan: Junior High" began airing in Japan television on Oct. 3. The premiere episode was spectacular and really funny. In fact, the reviews of the critics were very positive. However, second episode seems to have lost the tone and humor.

"Attack on Titan: Junior High" is known as a parody of the original apocalyptic plot. It is expected to deliver funny lines and present comedic situations. However, from the report of IGN, it says that the second episode fails to give the tone and humor effortlessly. Yes, Episode 2 continues to have that funny set-up, yet its tone was jarring. Rather than putting very serious, intense characters in a ridiculous situation, "this episode puts them in a more bland one."

To say it bluntly, the "Attack on Titan: Junior High" episode 2 is a bit of a disappointment. Aside from the tone and a rather rammed humor, it has also been noted that Armin has been missing in the classroom, which is supposed to be not the case.

There's also a scene of episode 2 of "Attack on Titan: Junior High" that is not entertaining. It's that part when a titan tries to steal the food of Eren and Mikasa in order to lure Armin out. In the attempt to attack the titan, Eren failed miserably, while "A mysterious upperclassman knocks out the Titan for him, and Eren decides that he wants to be in whatever cool club that kid is in." That particular scene is very typical and obviously expected of Eren. It appears to be ridiculous and completely lacking of real danger.

Fandom Post, on the other hand, gives a positive note for the "Attack on Titan: Junior High" episode 2. It says that the subtle humor gives fans an enjoyable 20 minutes experience with the show. Report says that the highlight of the second episode is when the freshmen finally came upon the scouts' club room. The funny facial expressions of Mikasa also bring charm.
