Mattel, the toy company that manufactures Barbie® dolls, is opening "The Barbie Dreamhouse Experience" in Berlin, Germany.

Set to open on Thursday, "The Dreamhouse Experience" is a large portable, almost 27,000 square feet house, clad in pink and stuffed with Barbie merchandise. Young Barbie fans can bake 'virtual cupcakes' in the home's modern albeit candy-floss-pink kitchen, poke around the giant walk-in closets filled with Barbie's clothes, lounge in the equally pink living room and admire the numerous Barbies set for display, reports News.Com.

An entry fee of $29 is applicable to visit the pink paradise. The idea of the Dreamhouse was conceived by EMS Entertainment, a popular media services specialist.

Located just a few blocks away from the main shopping district of Berlin called, Alexanderplatz, the Barbie Dreamhouse Experience is intended to be an interactive exhibition of Barbie dolls. The exhibition will last until August 25, after which the house will be dissembled, packed and taken away to tour other European nations. Recently, Barbie also listed her Malibu mansion and is looking for a new location for her house.

The opening of this Barbie Dreamhouse has garnered some censure from 'feminists'. A group of people have started a Facebook campaign, "Occupy Barbie Dreamhouse" inspired by New York's "Occupy Wall Street" protests. Apparently, they feel that the exhibition is promoting a 'formidable' image and have called it a 'sexist propaganda'. They hope to bring in at least 100 protestors to fight against "gender-inequality".

"For 22 Euros ($29), you can have two careers - model or pop star! What kind of image is that presenting to young women?" Michael Koschitzki, a male feminist and an active member of the far left party, Die Linke's youth wing, said in an interview.

"The vast majority of little girls play with a doll that, if she were real, would be anorexic and whose life would consist of waiting for Ken in the car," he added.

However, the company is unmoved and remains committed to its venture.

Not only is a "Barbie Dreamhouse Experience" opening in Berlin, but a smaller yet identical version of the house has already opened in the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, South Florida. ThatDreamhouse has a runway, a rock star stage and  classic Barbie memorabilia.
