Shocking news emerged when Khloe Kardashian's husband was rushed to the hospital fighting for his life. As per The Daily News, Lamar Odom is currently hospitalized after a 3-day drugs and alcohol spree. He was found face down and unresponsive inside a Nevada brothel last Wednesday.

Khloe Kardashian may have filed divorce but the judge hasn't signed the final papers yet, making them still legally married. The news website then added that Kardashian haven't left Odom's side ever since she got to the hospital.

Additional news emerged which was reported by International Business Times stated that his downfall was linked to his Viagra usage.

The news website stated that an over-the-counter "herbal Viagra" was consumed by the basketball player before he collapsed. It is however unknown if it was the Viagra that caused him to go into coma as it was reported that he took other drugs with it.

As per the latest news released by TMZ, Odom is currently on life support. In relation to what happened, a professor of surgery and a urologist at the University of Chicago, Gregory Bales, stated that sexual enhancer supplements can cause a severe reaction if not taken cautiously.

"You can get into trouble because some of these remedies for sexual prowess are stimulants. For sure, these supplements, taken in sufficient quantity, can cause problems with your cardiovascular system."

Bales then added that FDA [Food and Drug Administration] stated that some supplements being sold as an herbal alternative to Viagra also contain the same active ingredients found in the drug. He then cited that it can be dangerous for individuals with a diagnosed cardiac issue to partake the supplement.

Gary Coody, a National Health Fraud Coordinator, made a statement in regards to falsely advertising the products as dietary supplements.

"We're finding an alarming number of these products sold online and in retail stores, we've seen pills, coffees, chewing gum and dissolvable oral strips that contain hidden drug ingredients or untested chemicals."
