To enhance the experience of cupcakes, J.C. Architecture has designed a beautiful house-shaped glass cupcakery for the new confectionary experts, Les Bebes, based in Taipei, China. Apparently, the architects derived the idea of the house-shaped façade from the packaging or rather, the cake boxes, reports Dezeen.

They studied the folding of a box and decided to design the place to match its authenticity.

The shop has the façade of a house with a glass front entrance with a hardwood door and a window frame in the middle.

Inside the shop, a line of box-shaped shelves jut out of the walls revealing dark tiles behind looking like lids of a cake box. A raised bar area is done up with dark brown tiles lined with black and yellow stools.

The story of Les Bebes is as interesting as its shop is. Around a year back, Elaine, the owner of Les Bebes was just another passionate baker, who baked only for herself and her family. One day at a friend's birthday party she baked some of her cupcakes and they became an instant hit. Slowly, she started experimenting with her baking skills, making cupcakes of various flavors and started selling them, and today, Les Bebes is one of the most famous cupcakeries in Taipei, China.

The trend of boutique stores has gained much popularity in recent years. Men's fashion brand John Varvatos' Bowery Concept store, Chanel's newly renovated boutique in the Bal Harbor Shops mall and an "Upside-down" boutique shop of Polish clothing brand, "Risk. Made in Warsaw" are some of the examples of how the experience of shopping has evolved.
