Mark Foster, the twenties something frontman of indie-pop band, "Foster the People," has reportedly purchased a ranch style residence in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, for $2.1 million.
According to the Real Estalker, TV actor Maurice Benard of the "General Hospital" fame is the seller of the property. Benard purchased two parcels of the 1.25 total acres in 1997 for around $420,000 and in February 1998, he snagged the adjacent plot of land for around $274,000. The home was constantly hauled on and off the market several times since September 2008 and has now finally managed to sell, after several price chops.
The ranch-style property has a main house spread across 4637 square feet comprising of three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The two story home has stone and hardwood floors, beamed wooden ceilings and wood-framed glass doors and windows. Living spaces include a living room, a dining room, a den, a sunroom, a family room, a music lounge and a media room. The residence also has a modern kitchen. Outside, the home has ample recreation space.

In January, Foster's trek-turned-documentary hit the Internet. To raise awareness about the growing water crisis, Foster and fellow singer and activist Kenna launched a trekking campaign called "the Summit on Summit". The trek was to Mount Kilimanjaro with various performers like Jessica Biel and Lupe Fiasco.
