Dumervil's listing comes just a few months after he joined the Baltimore ravens. He recently bid goodbye to the Denver Broncos after signing a five year, $35 million contract with the team. His new contract with the Ravens comes on a weird free agent fault.
Dumervil was ready to take a pay cut from the Broncos and stay on with the team. However, his agent forgot to fax him the papers on time, missing the renewal deadline just by minutes and that's when the Ravens offered him the contract, reports SB nation.
Dumervil is happy with his current position and has already established himself as a team leader. The head coach of Ravens, John Harbaugh said to the Carroll County Times:
"It seems like Elvis has made the transition, he has been here every day. He hasn't missed one thing since he's been here. I feel like he's emerging as a leader for our football team. He has had no problem learning the defense. He's done a great job. He's a smart player. He likes football. He's done a good job at it, so he's done a good job."
