Candy entrepreneur Mark Tarnofsky has listed his very modern and very glassy Upper East Side real estate at 147 East 84th Street for over $6 million. The three-bedroom modern pad is outfitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, bold wallpaper, fancy fixtures, and a screening room to boot.
The property has been on and off the market for a few years now, which formerly had a price tag of $5 million, but now the asking price for the place has gone up to $6.495 million.
The vast 4,300-square-feet apartment comprises both the first floor and the basement of the building. Right from the street, you can easily find your way into the open living room, dining room and kitchen. Right at the back in this floor level, you will find a bedroom, the master bedroom, and a small private patio.
According to 6SQFT, the living room features a high ceiling of 13 feet, as well as a wood-burning fireplace that dominates the walls. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of fancy things, including cabinetry, countertops and appliances. It also features a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a wine cooler, double dishwashers, a six-burner cooking range, and a separate prep sink.
Two of the three bedrooms can be found in the back of the unit. The master suite features two walk-in closets and a private patio. The master bathroom features a huge soaking tub, radiant heat floors and a spacious shower room with ten shower heads.
The basement section of the apartment features a "lounge" area that includes a bar with wine storage, refrigerator, ice machine and dishwasher. The third bedroom is located downstairs and is separated by glass-paneled sliding doors.
New York Post said this home on the Upper East Side had been on and off the market for years and no one has since grabbed it. So Mark Tarnofsky hired a new broker, Yair Tavivian, of the Tavivian Sporn Team.
Tarnofky says, "The apartment has amazing potential, but we need to find a buyer who gets this vision."
