Four Marvel Superheroes take the lead in recent comic book covers. This move is in line with its "All-New All-Different" branding message.

Entertainment Weekly states that Marvel Studios won't release anytime soon movies being led by female superheroes yet. Although many are hoping to have Captain Marvel, the studio says the movie is slated in 2019. However, Marvel Comics have four female superheroes take the lead in its comic book covers.

According to the report, these female characters in the Marvel comics comprise from "both new inventions (like teenage Ms. Marvel) to gender changes on classic characters (Wolverine, Thor)."

People magazine says that Marvel has changed the rule of the game in the comic universe. The world is no longer dominated by men. It is time to introduce "a new troupe of badass female leads in the span of five years."

Based on report, there are already 17 comic book titles that are led by female superheroes. Come to think it, those classic comics that were led by male protagonists are now swapped with names of heroine like "Spider-Gwen, The Mighty Thor, A-Force and All-New Wolverine."

It has also been disclosed that "Jessica Drew in Spider-Woman, recently underwent a major change in the form of motherhood - a decision that was made following the birth of Marvel writer Dennis Hopeless' first child."
The Director of Content and Development at Marvel Entertainment Sana Amanat says that Dennis had gained much admiration and respect for his wife, thus he's inspired to write about it in guise of Drew's pregnancy. "You're talking about the strongest characters out there, people out there - you have to talk about mothers. They are the strongest women," Amanat added.

Judging from how the "Women of Marvel" panel at N.Y.C.'s Comic-Con has been well-received by the audience, the studio is positive in changing the rule of the game in comics, and allow female superheroes to take the lead in comic book covers.
