The house where scenes from the movie "The Fugitive" were shot is available for rent or sale. It was reported that Harrison Ford, the star of the film, fell in love with the house and so director Andrew Davis decided to use it as location for the opening scenes of the blockbuster movie.
Lincoln Park in Chicago is one of the most sought after locations for housing because of its luxurious amenities and top notch home designs. According to Trulia, houses and properties that are for rent in Lincoln Park have special perks like floor-to-ceiling windows, indoor swimming pools, and catwalks that are made from glass.
The five-bedroom house complete with four baths can definitely claim a piece of Hollywood as Ford, along with the cast and crew of the "The Fugitive," filmed the opening sequences of the movie in the said property. The "Star Wars" actor reportedly fell in love with the house prompting the director of the movie to shoot some scenes in the Lincoln Park home.
In the same report, the house is being offered for rent at $17,000 a month or for those who want to own the property, they need to shell out $3.5 million for it. Aside from the features of the house, it is also a block away from Lincoln Park Zoo which is a big plus for renters or would-be owners who have kids. It is also within walking distance from the beach which makes it a perfect place to stay in summer.
The property is sized at 3,129 feet which is double of its original size after it underwent a major expansion in the 1990s. It has four stories and has an incredible view of Chicago's downtown area. One of its design highlights is the glass-floored catwalk. The kitchen is a tasteful blend of traditional and contemporary designs.
