After Noah Solloway (Dominic West) made the decision to propose to Alison Lockhart (Ruth Wilson) in the last episode of "The Affair" Season 2, things will continue to be difficult for the couple in the next episode.
According to the recap by Celeb Dirty Laundry, Noah and Alison's troubles deepened in episode 3 when Noah's ex-wife (Maura Tierney) hired a lawyer for the divorce proceedings. Meanwhile, after Noah proposed to Alison, his daughter Whitney (Julia Goldani Telles) barged in the cabin where they are staying and completely flipped out when she found out that Alison was wearing an engagement ring.
It seems like Noah forgot that he is still legally married and that his four children are still struggling with the separation of their parents. This may be the reason why more troubles are coming for the couple in "The Affair" Season 2 episode 4.
According to International Business Times, Whitney will be revealing the engagement news to her mother Helen. In the official synopsis of episode 4, it was revealed that a court order will be given to the couple, which will prohibit Alison from getting near Noah's children. In the teaser video, Noah can be seen telling Alison that they cannot live together anymore because of the court order.
Meanwhile, Helen is still struggling from her separation with her husband and she can be seen having a hard time coping with their situation. In one of the scenes in episode 4, Helen claims that she is now having financial problems because Noah is trying to take all her money now that her store is finally making some profit. In another teaser video, Helen can be seen heavily drinking and also getting arrested.
