Mark David scooped another exclusive in Variety with the news that the Beverly Hills estate of multi-billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, who passed away a few months ago, is now listed for $22 million. Property records show that the 1.28-acre compound, located on a thick and towering hedge about half a mile up Benedict Canyon from the Beverly Hills Hotel, was acquired by the businessman in August 1998 for an amount that was not made public. The listing details describe this spread as double-gated and vast.
The main house is a two-storey deluxe villa with a remarkable architectural design. Measuring 9,732-square-feet, it features a red tile roofing, two master suites, four guest bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. It likewise boasts a double-height foyer, formal living and dining rooms, a den, office and home theatre. The living and dining areas lead to the spacious backyard grounds, which is fully landscaped and well-manicured. The property also has a motor court with a parking lot size and goes around a central fountain. Another motor court offers access to a three-car attached garage, a tennis court that is overlooking the two-storey guest house, and lawns which can guzzle up lots of water. The property, however, does not have a swimming pool in it.
