Late mangaka Osamu Tezuka will have his life be told in a documentary manga biography book. The official announcement has been made on Monday by Stone Bridge press, and the title of the book has been revealed as well, "The Osamu Tezuka Story A Life in Manga and Anime." The book will is slated for release in July 2016.

Anime News Network reports that "The Osamu Tezuka Story A Life in Manga and Anime" will be handled by by Toshio Ban & Tezuka Productions and will be translated by Frederik L. Schodt. The documentary manga biography book will be distributed by Consortium Book Sales & Distribution.

"The Osamu Tezuka Story A Life in Manga and Anime" is a single volume book with 900 plus pages. The book is not only a transcription of the life history of Osamu Tezuka but also an exposition of the how this medium evolved over time.

It is a common knowledge that "Tezuka was one of the formative mangaka and animators in Japan, responsible for birthing the modern manga and anime industries that are now a worldwide media empire." Forbes says that this biography is long overdue. Osamu Tezuka died in 1989, and he was one of the best and most influential mangaka. In fact, Tezuka was be referred to as the "God of Manga"

ANN says that "The Osamu Tezuka Story A Life in Manga and Anime" is still in production. The biography will also be written in graphic-format. It is also an exposition of "an an anecdotal study of the evolution of Japan's early manga and anime business and its heroes. A never-before-seen popular culture history of postwar Japan, it is sure to fascinate fans and anyone interested in manga, anime, and the potential of the graphic Storytelling medium."
