We all know that Samsung isn't unfamiliar with giant tablets, the company pretty much made phablets mainsteam. But the rumored "Samsung Galaxy View" is much more than what we have seen from the company so far. A source was able to get a hold of a few leaked images, showing how the "Samsung Galaxy View" is bigger than your usual large tablets, even bigger than the common laptop screens. The device has a screen that measures a massive 18.4 inches and a dock on the back that folds out to adjust to your usage. It's just not clear whether you can remove the dock or not, hopefully you can, as it could add unnecessary bulk and weight if you try to store the device.
Physically, the "Samsung Galaxy View" is not very similar to the usual tablets Samsung has released. For instance, you can't see a home button anywhere within the top surface, plus the ports are on the sides instead of having them at the top or at the bottom, which actually makes sense since this device is so big, you would only expect it to remain in landscape orientation at least most of the time.
"Samsung Galaxy View" SPECS
As amusing as the screen is, the specs are surprisingly midrange. You might have expected the best and most gorgeous graphics, but there isn't much else to see aside from the giant screen. The display specs resembles the ones find in midrange smartphones. Specifically it is a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, clearly not the sharpest but it's not bad at all, it's basically all you need.
As to the processors, it will we powered by 1.6 GHz octa core Exynos 7580 processor and it will come with a RAM of 2 GB and an internal storage size of 32 GB.
The front camera will be a 2 MP camera, which seems practical. If it came with a spectacular camera spec, you still can't enjoy its full experience since taking a photo using a giant tablet doesn't seem like a likable idea.
But overall, since no official statement is coming from the main company itself, it's just safe to take all these rumors with skepticism. Nonetheless, most rumors actually turn out to be true in the end, with just some minor differences. As for the release of the "Samsung Galaxy View", there hasn't been any news about that yet. But with all the rumors that continue to surface, we can say that the announcement of the "Samsung Galaxy View" isn't too far away.
