Is that a bird?...a Plane?
Oh No! They are three Porsche Cars shooting down from the sky!
Yes, at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed that was held at the grounds of Goodwood House in West Sussex, England, a breathtaking masterpiece stands tall, signifying the passion, love and the glamour of motor sports and one of the best and biggest automobile company , Porsche.
An amazing streamlined structure that features three Porsche 911s, shooting up like rockets in the sky has been created by architect, Gerry Judah. The installation was made to pay a tribute to the golden jubilee of the Porsche 911. This sculpture is the highest structure ever been made for the festival and is the first Porsche centerpiece in over ten years.
Three iconic Porsche 911s are secured at the top end of 35 meter-long hollow steel plates, all welded together. Weighing something over 22 tons, the structure's legs slim down at the base, slender enough to put one's arms around it, reports Dezeen.
"The biggest challenge for this year was to, as always, make it as high as possible," Judah said in an interview.
"The 911 has its own profile, has its own shape, so I don't think you want to embellish it too much. You just want it to work for itself. They work together, I think that's what makes it special for me" he added.
