Just a few days ago, reports about Microsoft working on a new Lumia phone has surfaced. A device with an internal code of "Saana", recently had its photo surfaced online.
Now, another set of rumors came online showing the back of the device. As to the specifications of the "Lumia Saana", here are the details that we have so far:
The "Lumia Saana" listed as RM-1152, is reported to be powered by Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210. Although no price has been revealed yet, what's certain is that this new handset will belong to the midrange category of Microsoft phones. It will have a 5 inch screen with a 720p display.
The rear camera will be an average 8 MP camera and the phone won't have a dedicated camera button as confirmed by the leaked images. The phone will come with a microSD slot but the memory and storage capacity is not yet confirmed.
"Lumia Saana" will include Glance Screen support and it will come with a midrange battery of 2000 mAh.
With that leaked specs, this "Lumia Saana" seems pretty similar to the "Lumia 550". The 550 has a 2100 mAh battery and an 8 MP rear camera. It is also powered by a Snapdragon 210 chipset. "Lumia 550" has been announced October and is expected to be released December. If the 550 and the Saana are gonna be launched together, it's not yet confirmed. However, if the 550 is a good basis for the Saana, it's possible that the "Lumia Saana" will also come with an FM radio and a 5 MP front camera, and it will probably cost at around 130 Euro.
As to the announcement and release dates, no details have been released yet. We just have to wait for more leaks and rumors to confirm additional details about this new phone from Microsoft. Hopefully, the company itself can provide a statement regarding this new phone.
