Ed Sheeran helped his childhood friend Amy Wadge to pay off her mortgage through song credits.

According to mirror.co.uk, Amy was financially struggling until Sheeran invited him to collaborate with his song "Thinking Out Loud." Through his kind act, Amy was able to pay off her mortgage after "contributing to his last album." Their song definitely helped them when it reached number one.

The songwriting session was held as a favor for his friend who was struggling financially as he completed his second album. Sheeran said "She was going through financial troubles about a year ago. She drove to my house - my album was nearly done - and she asked if I could put a song from when I was 17 on the deluxe album, so she could get a little bit of money and pay the mortgage and bills and stuff. While she was there, we wrote Thinking Out Loud. Now she never has to worry about money again."

Ed also added "She's got a family and two kids and stuff and every time I speak to her, she's going on holiday. It's really nice to see. It wouldn't have happened if she hadn't come down from Wales to see me."

Sheeran's friend was very grateful with her friend's kind act. Amy said "I'm not going to lie and say things hadn't got financially difficult. My publishing advance had run out and I wasn't seeing my family at all."

In a report by metro.co.uk, Ed's "Thinking Out loud" has been a success as it's been streamed over half a billion times on Spotify and a lot of wedding receptions have been using the song for their dances.

The song has really made Amy pay off her debts and mortgages with the success of their song. It also opened new opportunities for Amy as Ben Haenow and Geri Horner (formerly Halliwell) are now seeking for her help in making a hit.
