Gotham faces a new hurdle as the new mayor plans to let terror reign in the show's next episode titled, "Mommy's Little Monster."
In a synopsis released for "Gotham" Season 2 Episode 7, it was revealed that the elected mayor will bring terror to the city. "Gotham" fans will see Theo Galavan (James Frain) finally sit as the city's mayor after eliminating every competitor there is. However, just as Theo becomes Gotham's leader, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) starts to plot his revenge against him.
Viewers of the series would know that Theo and sister, Tabitha (Jessica Lucas), abducted Penguin's mother so they could use him to do their bidding. But in "Mommy's Little Monster," Butch Gilzean (Drew Powell) shows Penguin the place where Gertrud (Carol Kane) is being held hostage. This would jumpstart Penguin's hunger to make Theo pay.
In the previous episode, Tabitha finds Butch gone and this spells trouble. The synopsis revealed that Butch is set to help Penguin out.
Meanwhile, Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), the conflicted character, faces the consequences of his actions. In "Gotham" episode 6 "Fire Out," Kristin Kringle (Chelsea Spack) finds out that Nygma killed Officer Dougherty. His attempt to silence Kristin ended in an accidental strangle which put her in critical condition. Will Kristin survive in the next episode? Out of fear, will Nygma finish what he started? There are so many possibilities to this angle. Viewers will have to wait until Nov. 2 to find out what really happens.
"Gotham" is currently on its second season and is being aired on FOX. The series has gained strong following and has an average viewership of a little over four million every episode.
Notable actors who have appeared in the show include Jada Pinkett-Smith as Fish Moony, the "OC's" Ben McKenzie as the lead Det. James Gordon, and Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes.
