Yasuo Ohtagaki's manga "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" will soon have an anime adaptation. The creator of the manga confirms that the anime series has green-lit already via his offical twitter account.
Anime News Network reports that this announcement comes with a teaser website which has been opened on Wednesday. The said portal website is intended to bring news about "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt," thus the name Gundam.info. In the site, fans would see the lists of "Gundam's copyright holder Sotsu Agency and anime studio Sunrise" are listed.
The storyline line is also revealed for the anime series of "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt." It would espouse "the battles between two ace pilots of the Principality of Zeon and the Earth Federation at the 'Thunderbolt Sector,' a shoal zone with numerous wrecks of space colonies and warships."
According to Crunchyroll, the portal site also will soon release information as to "how and when the 'Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt' anime adaptation will be distributed. But as of the moment, the only info that is given is that the anime series is already green-lit, as to details of it, fans have to sit tight as they will update their portal site sometime in the near future.
Crunchyroll also quoted the twitter of Yasuo Ohtagaki. The tweet reads in English translation: "It is finally announced! 'Thunderbolt" gets an anime adaptation! One more of my ambitions has been achieved ï¼¼(^o^)ï¼ "
The setting of "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" is during the classi era, however Forbes says that it appears like modern time. In fact the critic from this online magazine said that he was surprised to see the setting of the manga."Thunderbolt is relatively new and it plays havoc with various technologies in this timeline, with some of the newer Gundam units being overpowered to the point of goofiness," the critic said.
