Netflix series "Hemlock Grove" recently released its Season 3, which also happens to be the show's final season. The series is now available on Netflix, and fans who haven't watched the final chapter yet may be in for a shock as recent reports and spoilers claim that a lot of characters die.
In an interview with Variety, executive producer Eli Roth revealed that the finale gave them "a chance to kill off a lot of characters."
"It goes in weird directions that had even me shocked," he said. "What's fun about the show is how off-the-wall nuts and bizarre it is. It's really fun and twisted and terrific."
"I'm kind of sad it's coming to an end ... But we got three fantastic seasons of the weirdest, craziest, sex-and-violence-filled shows ever and I'm really proud of it ... Even when you know what happens, you still have to watch it," Roth added.
IGN has posted a review of the show's Season 3 and stated that Hemlock Grove's final season is "the darkest and most depressing," which reportedly ironically makes it also the best. The publication claimed that though the show may be flawed in some aspects, Season 3 goes out on a high note.
Roth did not reveal the characters that were killed off in the show's final season, so fans will just have to watch the Netflix series to find out. However, IGN stated in its review that despite some unanswered questions in Season 3 of "Hemlock Grove," the show still managed to wrap up the story and "give the main characters the respective endings they deserved."
"Hemlock Grove" is based on Brian McGreevy's novel of the same title, which was released in 2012. It stars Famke Janssen as Olivia Godfrey, Bill Skarsgard as Roman Godfrey, Landon Liboiron as Peter Rumancek, and Joel de la Fuente as Dr. Johann Pryce.
