"The Walking Dead" Season 6 just killed off a major (and well-loved) character. While fans are still reeling on the possibility that Glenn is still alive, is it possible that Rick and Michonne will finally find romance between each other this season?

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 just lost one of its well-loved characters, Glenn (Steven Yeunn) in its latest episodes. While several TWD spoilers have been listing possible ways in which Glenn was able to survive the recent attack, Carter Matt reported on a possible romance taking place between Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira).

TWD fans have been hoping to see Rick and Michonne get into some sort of relationship for quite some time now, especially because these two seemed to understand each other so well. At the meantime, though, Rick seems to be very interested in Jessie and therefore, this pairing seems unlikely to happen anytime soon.

The outlet, however, cited several reasons as to why a Rick and Michonne pairing should take place in "The Walking Dead." According to the outlet, Rick and Michonne seem to genuinely care for each other. Aside from this, Michonne does not only protect herself, but also Rick's son, Carl (Chandler Riggs).

As most fans and viewers know, however, romance is not something that sits perfectly well in "The Walking Dead." Glenn and Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) relationship stood the test of time (and walkers) but Glenn's (possible) demise in Season 6 proved that nothing can stay for so long.

Meanwhile, there is an ongoing debate surrounding Glenn's departure from the AMC series. While fans are still holding on to the possibility that Glenn is still alive, IGN reported that Yeun's name has been taken down from TWD's opening credits in its latest episode titled, "Here's Not Here."
