While we all know that Huawei's newest power chipset called the Kirin 950 is set to be released on November 5th, reports have been scarce regarding the smartphone that would be powered by that new chipset, which is the "Mate 8".

Luckily a new teaser from the company recently came out. Huawei clearly implied that the "Mate 8" will be unveiled on the 26th of November. This announcement date also confirms all earlier rumors that suggested the "Mate 8" would be coming before the year ends.

Mate 8 Specs And Rumors

Different reports and rumors surface around the web. There are news saying that the Mate 8 will have a display resolution of 1440 x 2560. But there are also sources that suggest the phone will come with 1080 x 1920 resolution. The phone is also said to come in two storage variants, one with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, and another one with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. The front camera is 8 MP and there are a bunch of different rumors about the rear cam. There are reports saying that it will be a 13 MP camera, a 21 MP camera, but according to a benchmark site, the "Mate 8" will have a 16 MP camera. The CPU is an octa-core 2.2 CPU (comprised of Cortex-A72 cores) and the OS according to the benchmark source, is Android 6.0. However, there are also reports that say the "Huawei Mate 8" will be running the Android v5.1 Lollipop.

As for the price, the "Huawei Mate 8" is reported to be carrying a price tag of $520 for the 3 GB RAM version and $610 for the 4 GB.

As a verdict, it is safe to conclude that the "Huawei Mate 8" is one mighty smartphone. Its huge size and non average specs lead us to a conclusion that this phone will be a beastly one. Not to mention that it might also come with a giant battery like the "Mate 7" that has a 4100 mAh battery.
