"The Walking Dead" Season 6 recently left fans with a cliffhanger in relation to Glenn (Steven Yeun). In "Thank You," Glenn was featured crying while being attacked by the undead.
Fans immediately started speculating that this could be the end for the character. However, even more fans of the hit AMC series believe that Glenn could still be alive.
According to Design & Trend, there are a lot of reasons why the character may not be killed off this soon on the show.
First, Nicholas' body fell directly on top of Glenn's. The publication claimed that it is therefore possible that fans saw Nicholas' intestines and not Glenn's.
Additionally, the character may still be alive because he wasn't really featured on "The Walking Dead" as a deceased character. A lot of directors and producers of television shows and movies have said many times before that unless the actual dead body is seen, a character may still be alive.
The publication also raised a good point when they noted that Yeun's character wasn't featured in "The Walking Dead" aftershow, "The Talking Dead." Usually, when a character is killed off from the hit AMC series, they are invited to appear on "The Talking Dead" to talk about their role as well as answer some fan questions.
Meanwhile, "TWD" executive producer Greg Nicotero recently spoke about the dumpster scene where Nicholas and Glenn's bodies were last featured. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he revealed that he intentionally made the dumpster scene look ambiguous.
"Yes! And I think that adds to the mystery of it. It was a very specific intent when this sequence was even being designed... The fact that there's a crowd of 1,000 zombies around them - you may not get a 100 percent clear glimpse of what's happening," he said.
"The Walking Dead" Season 6 airs Sundays on AMC.
