After some rumors have surfaced claiming that Premier League's Manchester United has been eyeing for Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, another transfer rumor is being linked once again to the said English club. According to some reports, Man Utd is in constant monitor for Leicester City's in-form winger Riyad Mahrez.
France Football via dailystar reported that Louis van Gaal has his eyes set for the Algerian football star, and that talks are being made to acquire the service of Mahrez. This move of United according to dailymail aims to replace the unrealized transfer of Neymar from Barcelona last summer. Dailymail also reported that, "Manchester United have been monitoring Leicester City's in-form winger Riyad Mahrez since last season. Frustrated Louis van Gaal wants to add pace and goals to his lacklustre attack. An ambitious proposal to sign Neymar from Barcelona was deemed unrealistic last summer while United also failed in an attempt to sign Sadio Mane from Southampton."
Aside from the rumored deal being processed for the transfer of Riyad Mahrez from English club Leicester City, Man United has also been reported to be on the lookout for Bayer Leverkusen forward Hakan Calhanoglu. According to express, Leverkusen's chief executive Michael Schade stated that for a team like Manchester to acquire the service of Hakan a bid of around £29million would suffice. From a player's perspective, the move would be a dream come true, especially that Hakan is known to be a fan of Manchester United hero, David Beckham. Hakan on his statement via express narrated that;
"I try to put the ball over the wall. That is my strength, and if I hit the ball well then it normally goes in. I have watched many free-kick specialists. David Beckham was an outstanding free-kick taker, Juninho as well, and you always have to watch players like that and learn from them. I think every footballer has a role model, and those two were mine - through them I developed my own technique."
In the end of the day the said reports would still remain as a rumor, for unless any move would materialize speculations would be as is. Guess we just have to wait for further updates on this Manchester acquisition moves.
