Cleveland Cavaliers' forward LeBron James made NBA history as he beat Kobe Bryant's record as the youngest NBA player to hit 25,000 points, during their game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 2, Monday.

Before the game, James was just 21 points away to hit the 25,000 point milestone. According to a Cleveland report, James was so humble that he did not even have any idea that he was that close. "It just means that I've played with a lot of great teammates and a lot of great coaches that put me in position to be successful on the floor," the 30-year-old NBA superstar said.

Kobe Bryant used to hold the title before James. Bryant was 31 years old when he did his 25,000 point-mark in 2010. James will turn 31 on Dec. 30.

James made his 25,001 point with a high-flying alley-oop dunk with 8:07 remaining at the fourth quarter of their game against the 76ers, where the Cavaliers won with 107-100. James received a standing ovation from the crowd when the 76er's public address announcer acknowledged him for his accomplishment during a timeout, as reported by the ESPN.

James almost made a triple double with 22 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds that kept the Cavaliers fighting against the 76ers who led the game with 15 points at the second half. Currently, the NBA star is the 20th player who reached the 25,000-point milestone, joining the likes of Bryant, Duncan, Nowitzki, Garnett and Pierce as the sixth active player.  He is also the seventh to reach the 25,000th points on his 13th season together with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Dominique Wilkins and Oscar Robertson.

James spoiled Bryant's 25,000-point game when the Cleveland Cavaliers won against the LA Lakers in 2010 with a final score of 93-87. At the time James scored 37 points while Bryant only had 31 points.
