Things will start to get better for Allison (Ruth Wilson) and Noah (Dominic West) as his divorce with his wife Helen (Maura Tierney) will be finalized in the new episode of "The Affair" Season 2.
According to "The Affair" Season 2 episode 5 recap by TV Fanatic, Allison got tired of Yvonne (Joanna Gleason) and Robert's (Peter Friedman) treatment and she finally tried to read Noah's novel. However, her discovery upset her more.
According to an earlier report, Allison discovered that the novel was about her sexual encounters with Noah. Because of her frustration, she went to her former husband Cole Lockhart (Joshua Jackson) and they ended up sleeping together. Will Noah know about this encounter?
International Business Times reports that in the new episode of the show, it will be discovered that Martin (Jake Richard Siciliano) has a serious illness. Margaret (Kathleen Chalfant) brushed off his stomach ache complaints earlier in the season and said that it could just be stress with the ongoing divorce proceedings between Helen and Noah.
Meanwhile, in the new promo video for episode 6, Helen and Margaret can be seen arguing as Noah and Helen have decided to share custody of the kids, and Margaret tells her daughter that it is not a good idea. Helen then snaps at her mother and says that she does not want to listen to her anymore because her opinions almost cost the life of Martin.
In another teaser video, Noah can be seen telling Allison that his divorce has been finalized and now they can live together again. Although it is good news for them, Allison doesn't seem very happy about it and tells Noah that she is now having second thoughts about their relationship as they haven't seen each other in weeks. Allison then decides to stay with her mother at the moment, which reportedly surprises Noah.
"The Affair" Season 2 episode 6 will air on Showtime on Nov. 8.
