Rumors abound that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be coming with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820. However, fans are a little bit skeptical about the overheating that its predecessor, the SD810 had. Qualcomm has already issued a statement about this rumor and firmly said that the buzz will stay as rumors and nothing similar will happen with its latest chip.
The San Diego-based chipset manufacturer giant has recently debunked rumors that the processor for the rumored next flagship phone of Samsung will be suffering from overheating issues, similar to its SD810. Qualcomm has confidently said in an official statement that the SD820 will perform better and will sufficiently disperse the heat accumulated during use, as reported by Tech Radar.
Tech Radar inquired firsthand about this particular issue with Qualcomm, via e-mail. They received this reply, "The rumors circulating in the media regarding Snapdragon 820 performance are false. The Snapdragon 820 improves on all IP blocks and is fabricated in the second generation of the 14nm process technology. It is meeting all of our specifications, but more importantly, it is satisfying the thermal and performance specifications from our OEMs."
With that rumor now in the shelf, what the community needs to know now is, if Samsung will be using Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 on its rumored flagship phone. The South Korean tech and phone giant is keeping everything under the blanket and nobody can get any snippet of information so far.
On a side note, it is also rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be coming in two variants - a premium and a sub-premium version. Having different processors, the lower version will be equipped with an Exynos M1. It said that Samsung is vying for an early announcement date for their latest creation. Rumors are strong that they are trying to target an early 2016 launch date, as reported by Ecumenical News.
The tech community is full of rumors about the alleged flagship phone of Samsung, the Galaxy S7, though nothing has been confirmed about the information surrounding the phone. Everybody is waiting for a tipster who can shed light on these rumors.
