Rihanna has officially backed out on performing at this year's highly anticipated Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
According to People, the Barbadian beauty has cancelled her performance at the underwear fashion show because she needs more time to finish her next album entitled "Anti." Rumors have been going around that she was set to perform a new single but, unfortunately, she would not be able to push through.
Many have been looking forward to RiRi's appearance after VS announced her participation last October. Her fans would surely be disappointed because they waited for two years since the singer's last VS performance. The female artist fabulously graced the same show last 2012, where she sang her hit single "Diamonds."
E! reported that "Love Me Like You Do" singer Ellie Goulding was asked to replace Rihanna in the said show. The British singer will join the previously announced artists like Selena Gomez and The Weekend, and is said to promote her new songs under her third studio album, "Delirium." Goulding is not Rihanna but she is definitely acquainted to singing in high-profile events like when she sang at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding back in 2011.
The much awaited lingerie show will feature veteran angels such as Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, and of course, Adam Levine's main squeeze, Behati Princeloo.
Aside from the usual line up, fans are excited to see faces on the VS runway. Reality TV sweet heart and supermodel Kendall Jenner announced on her Twitter and Instagram account that she would join her BFF Gigi Hadid on strutting their wings on the runway. Jenner posted on her Instagram, "the best birthday present EVER! always been one of my biggest dreams to be on this catwalk. @victoriassecret 's newest recruits. oh and I get to do it with my best friend"
The Victoria's Secret Fashion show will air on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 10 p.m. on CBS.
