A recent biography on Beyoncé came out, which claims that the "Love on Top" singer and her husband Jay Z went through a year long split in 2005. While most fans of Bey and Jay refuse to believe these allegations surrounding the A-list couple, the author of the controversial book recently spoke out and expressed confidence on the alleged split.

Jay Z and Beyoncé split for a year in 2005, claimed J Randy Taraborrelli in his recently released biography on the "Crazy in Love" singer. In an interview with BBC UK's Newsbeat, Taraborelli recently defended his statements on Beyoncé's biography.

"This is my 18th book. I've had 14 bestsellers, so I and my research team, we really have a sort of gut for this work," he said. "Everybody is interview and re-interviewed and then their stories are compared with other stories of people who were in the same situations."

Taraborelli also expressed confidence when asked if he worries about getting sued by celebrities over his works. The author also addressed the rumor surrounding the alleged affair between Jay Z and Rihanna in the book. According to the author, he was able to get hold of a publicist during Rihanna's first ever single, "Pon de Replay" and found out that there is no truth to this rumor at all.

"We interviewed him and he confessed that he planted that story in an effort to promote Rihanna," he said.

While Beyoncé and Jay Z have yet to confirm whether or not the alleged split in 2005 took place, another report claims that the 34-year-old singer underwent plastic surgery after giving birth to their daughter, Blue Ivy. According to OK! Magazine, Beyoncé allegedly had breast lifts done because she lost her confidence on her body after giving birth to Blue Ivy in 2012.

Jay Z reportedly took notice of Beyoncé's issues with her self-confidence and an insider shared that he "noticed she wasn't feeling her usual sexy self." Ever since Beyoncé had the alleged plastic surgery done, the "Halo" singer had no problem flaunting her assets in public once again.
