Tom Cruise made his disappointment known more than a week after Leah Remini's bombshell about Scientology in the "20/20 interview," which led Katie Holmes to issue an apology to the latter.

As reported by In Touch Weekly, Tom is furious with Katie for apologizing because Tom knows, as well as the church and its members, that there is a non-disclosure agreement and Katie agreed not to spill any secrets. Pertaining to the apology, Holmes said, "I regret having upset Leah in the past and wish her only the best in the future."

A source from Radar Online, on the other hand, said, "That one sentence makes it clear how regretful and remorseful Katie feels about her time with Tom and Scientology. She is clearly getting back at him."

Other reports have surfaced that Katie is just humiliating Tom and the apology indicated that this is the most agressive she has been about any issue pertaining to her and Tom Cruise since their divorce three years ago, in which Katie blindsided Tom. They got married in 2006 and have a 9-year-old child, Suri.

Leah Remini's new book "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology," was released in stores on Tuesday, Nov. 3. It is said to include the contents of the letter Holmes wrote about Remini's behavior in the Cruise-Holmes nuptial in 2006 in Rome, which says Remini was a "poor example to others," reported by Radar Online. Remini left Scientology in 2013 after representatives of the church organization went to her house where she was humiliated and verbally abused. Prior to that, she also said in the "20/20" interview that she was treated differently before and after she was famous.

Ahead of the "20/20" interview, Tom Cruise has been busy filming the sequel for his movie, "Jack Reacher," which commenced last month. It will be released October 2016.
