Observers and smartphone experts have branded the LG V10 as a top smartphone contender for business purposes.

Tech site ZDNet reviewer Matthew Miller said he is impressed with the new Android smartphone from LG and added that he should have included it in his already published personal list of the 10 best smartphones for the holiday season this year.

Among the improved features the LG V10 is it fingerprint scanner, a functionality that dramatically enhances the device's security as it encourages users to most likely lock their phones. The 2.1-inch secondary display always shows the time, dates, and incoming notifications, a feature that is absent in most Android smartphones. With such setup, Miller quipped that there is "little need to also wear a smartwatch" with LG V10, as efficiency is greatly improved.

Meanwhile, Economic Times India mentioned that the handset's secondary screen does not consume energy, allowing users to "check the time and weather without wasting your battery by lighting up the main screen." Also found on the secondary display are buttons for flashlight, camera, and playback controls for music.

The main screen of LG V10 is a 5.7-inch IPS display that is not as vibrant or popping as AMOLED screens that are used on Samsung smartphones but still provides users with a good experience.

Its stainless steel frame does not make LG waterproof or resistant to mud and dust, but the device is complemented with Dura Skin back cover and two-layer display. LG V10's rugged design makes the smartphone more durable and able to survive typical drops to the floor.

Smartphones with huge internal memory are expensive, which makes the LG V10 a cost-effective option as users can expand the device's memory with inexpensive SD cards, Miller cited.

In addition, the camera installed in the new LG V10 is reportedly an improvement from the LG G4. Vlad Savov of The Verge stated that the 16-megapixel rear camera is the device's best feature.

"It's amazing," described Savov. "I'm taking more photos and being more creative than I have with any other phone."
