Starz new ballet-centric drama miniseries "Flesh and Bone" premiered last Sunday night, Nov. 8. In an IB Times article, it says that after introducing this series first episode entitled "Bulling Through", it created a lot of attention as viewers and TV reviewers have made a number positive feedback about it.

The debut episode features a timid but determined ballet dancer, Claire who was given the opportunity to enter New York City's prestigious American Ballet Company. It tells how Claire's past hunts her while reaching her dreams. According to IndieWire, though it might seem that it only focuses on ballet dancing, the show actually deals with the stuff and dramas backstage. It signifies the beauty found in suffering. Unlike any other ballet drama shows, this series tackles about various subjects such as sex, drugs and political biases and other struggles that they experience through the whole process of becoming a professional ballerina. "Flesh and Bones" is considerably one of the few series that is packed with quality performances, brilliant script and tear-jerking scenes.

This show is also given high regards because it was written and created by Moira Walley-Becket the Emmy-award winning writer of Breaking Bad's "Ozymandias". She works with the known Australian writer-director, David Michod as reported by A.V. Club.

According to Variety.com, the crew behind this series made a big accomplishment just by casting talented dancers such as Sarah Hay who plays the role of Claire Robbins; Ben Daniels as Paul Grayson, the artistic director of the American Ballet Company; Emily Tyra as Mia who is Claire's roommate; and Irina Dvorovenko as Kiira, the prima ballerina and competitor of Claire. As cited by Heavy.com other celebrities to star in this mini-drama series are Damon Herriman as Romeo; Josh Helman as Bryan Robbins; Raychel Diane Weiner at Daphne, Sascha Radetsky as Ross and Karell Williams as Trey.
