Julia Roberts, known as one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, recently expressed her support to Jennifer Lawrence's fight against gender based wage gap.

In her 'Good Morning America' interview, 48-year-old A-lister admitted that she's a fan of Lawrence's piece that tackles the discrimination against female actors in the industry in terms of compensation.

She states, "I applaud her. She's a young, fabulous, talented whippersnapper and I love that she's stirring things up. I mean, she just - she's so energetic and seems to speak her mind, and I think it's great. I think it's great to kind of shake things up. I think it's great to go, 'Excuse me. Over here. I know something now and I'm frustrated by it and why is this?'"

Roberts, though she is known as America's sweetheart, sees some of Lawrence's fierce characteristics in herself. She says, "I feel like part of my personality is ferocious, and part of my personality is the greatest power you can wield toward an enemy is to ignore their existence."

The article being referred to is an essay written by Lawrence that was published in Lena Dunham's newsletter. In her piece entitled "Why Do I Make Less Than My Male Co‑Stars?" Jennifer expressed her disappointment towards the gender based wage gap in the movie industry. She writes, "When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with d----, I didn't get mad at Sony. I got mad at myself." Lawrence proceeds by saying she got a lower deal because she did not put up a good fight as a negotiator because she was afraid to be labeled as difficult or spoiled.

She goes on and declares that she will no longer let the same thing happen. "I'm over trying to find the 'adorable' way to state my opinion and still be likable! F--- that. I don't think I've ever worked for a man in charge who spent time contemplating what angle he should use to have his voice heard. It's just heard."
