Universal Pictures' romantic-comedy film "Bridget Jones" has started filming its third installment titled 'Bridget Jones's Baby'. Renee Zellwegger and Colin Firth were photographed while shooting in London and recent updates confirmed the official release date of the movie. "Grey's Anatomy' actor Patrick Dempsey is also said to be joining in unknown role.

Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth reprise their roles from 2001's Bridget Jones's Diary and 2004's Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, as Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy respectively. Following confirmation that Dempsey will be joining the cast list, photos showing he and Zellweger sharing some hugs and kisses on set were released, which may prove speculations that the actor will play as Bridget's new love interest are correct.

According to Movie News Guide, the upcoming addition to the Bridget Jones series will focus on Bridget's role as a new mom in her 40s. Photographs of Zellweger sporting a fake baby bump as well as pictures of her with Firth in a seemingly-christening scene highlight the movie title. However, the question about who's the father of the baby remains a mystery, the report added.

Although Hugh Grant, who was part of the first two movies, will not reprise his role as Daniel Cleaver, Zellweger mentioned that she was glad to be doing the third movie and working with old friends again. When asked by E! News during the L.A. County Walk to Defeat ALS event, the actress said, "It's really a nice reunion with old friends. It's always wonderful to be back in London and I love this character, so it's been a real treat to get to revisit it again."

Directed by Sharon Maguire, "Bridget Jones's Baby' is the third installment in the series based on English novelist Helen Fielding's work. This rom-com movie is set to be released on September 16, 2016.
