Avid fans and die-hard gamers of "Minecraft" have something to celebrate about. This is after the European rating board PEGI confirmed that Mojang's popular video game will be officially released for Wii U. The PEGI rating board has awarded the video game a score of 7, a report from Gamespot said on Friday.

"The listing, which was spotted by NeoGAF user HypnoDarkrai, states Minecraft Wii U Edition will be released this year. Neither Nintendo, Mojang, nor its parent company, Microsoft, have officially announced the release," the report said.

"The information for the Wii U version of Minecraft popped up on the official Pan European Game Information (PEGI) website earlier today and rates the game suitable for ages 7 and up. More interesting, it also lists the game's release date on November 12th, 2015. The marriage of Minecraft and the Wii U has been something fans have been clamoring for with the layout of the touchscreen controller lending itself well to inventory management in Minecraft," Screenrant said.

Screen Rant reports that the rating given by the PEGI is only intended for the European markets, specifically in the United Kingdom. "There are no similar ratings available as of yet from the ESRB aside from the upcoming Minecraft: Story Mode by Telltale Games, so it remains to be seen if a North American release is to coincide with the European release."

"Minecraft: Story Mode" is  scheduled to be launched set to launch this year for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and Wii U, according to Gamerant.
