Members of the band Eagles of Death Metal have made it alive after performing at a concert on the Bataclan Theater in Paris last Friday night, according to BBC. It was confirmed by the band's record company, Universal Music, that one of the persons who was working in the merchandise table was included in the 129 people who were killed in the Paris attacks.
The band is scheduled for 21 concerts across Europe following their performance last Nov. 13, but which will be cut short. An official from Nous Productions also said that the band will be returning to the U.S.
The Foo Fighters also posted a statement on their Facebook page regarding the recent events: "It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour. In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can't continue right now. There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one."
U2 was also scheduled to play in Paris Saturday night, but decided to postpone their show. The show was promoted extensively in America by HBO as a live concert broadcast. The band went to the Bataclan theater and laid flowers outside the venue.
Bands like the Rudimental, Deftones, Motorhead, Coldplay, Years & Years, Braid, DJ Gilles Peterson and Skindred, also cut their European tour dates short in respect and mourning of the attacks.
According to ABC, the Paris attacks targeted the Bataclan theatre during the Eagles of Death Metal concert, the Stade de France during an international soccer match, and a string of restaurants and bars. It was confirmed that 129 were killed and 352 people were injured.
