One Direction has faced so many controversies in 2015, which include their upcoming break that would take place in March next year. In an exclusive interview with BBC Radio 1 on Thursday, Liam Payne made an announcement that surprised a lot of their fans.
While promoting their fifth album, "Made In The A.M.," Payne accidentally spilled the beans on 1D's impending break. Everyone is aware that they'll be taking a year off the spotlight, but he shocked the radio listeners and One Directioners when he claimed that their group may take a two-year break. While talking about songwriting, he said their band didn't have much time to write songs, Tribune reports.
"Writing's not really a job, it's so much fun. We've always had to rush it, so it's going to be nice for the next two years - I'm going to write a few songs and see what happens," Payne said.
During 1D's interview, Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson confirmed that they are just taking a break and that they are not splitting for good. Their break would reportedly give them time to concentrate on their solo engagements. Tomlinson revealed that he is planning to start his own record label but will also be joining his band mates in writing new songs for their group, E! News reports.
Meanwhile, after five years, the famous British boy band came back onstage on Sunday in "The X Factor" to perform their song, "Perfect," which is part of their new album. They were seen wearing ribbons to show their support for the victims in the Paris attack on Friday, Nov. 13.
"There is a good sense of home about this place," Horan said while referring to their return to the popular "The X Factor."
