In the previous episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7, there were shocking twists in the characters' stories and it was said that fans are not happy about them.
According to Design & Trend, the show will finally deal with actress Candice King's pregnancy with a shocking twist. King, who plays the role of Caroline Forbes in the show, will be carrying Jo's (Jody Lyn O'Keefe) twins as Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) revealed to her that even though she died, her twins were protected inside Caroline.
This would reportedly explain why there were twin girls in the flash forward scenes, and it also showed how Caroline got romantically involved with Alaric (Matthew Davis) since she is carrying Jo's babies. In the three-year jump, Caroline can also be seen being engaged with Alaric. With this, it may mean that her romance with Stefan (Paul Wesley) might be in trouble as she discovers more and more about his past with Valerie.
This twist reportedly did not make fans happy as they were not expecting a romantic link between Caroline and Alaric. Some even questioned the decision of the writers as to why they chose Caroline to be a surrogate parent just because she is pregnant in real life.
Meanwhile, International Business Times reports that Stefan and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be confronting their mother Lily (Annie Wersching) about the painful memories that they have from their childhood. It was said that Lily will be revealing a dark secret that she has been keeping all these years, and this will make the brothers question what they know about their own family.
Elsewhere, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) is determined to prove himself to Lily by coming face to face with Julian (Todd Lasance). He will challenge him to a duel, but something will happen that will aggravate the already complicated situation he is in.
