New Year 2016? This celebration is still days or months away but not with the next episode of "Girl Meets World." Cartermatt spoils that the Disney hit series chose to celebrate the New Year this time for their new episode entitled "Girl Meets the New Year."

According to the article, the upcoming episode will make fans wait for a little while as "Girl Meets the New Year" is scheduled on Dec. 4. The episode will also be the last one to air in 2015. Although there are no reveals on what "Girl Meets the New Year" is all about. It is evident on how the show always prompts greater things over Maya and Riley's friendship and also with their relationship with the gang. 

Meanwhile, Rowan Blanchard who plays Riley on the series spilled some details with TVLine about the upcoming things viewers can expect before the show hits finale. Blanchard describes the new leaps that the friendship of Riley and Maya will take in terms of moving into high school and the "awkward" thing that dating in high school entails.

"The finale is very interesting. It's about the legacy we all want to leave behind in middle school - not only about what you're physically going to leave behind, but also what thoughts you're going to associate with middle school. Riley and Maya both know that going to high school will take their relationships to a new level, as dating is going to become a real thing, which puts everybody in an awkward position."

Apart from this, Blanchard also talked about the conflict with her character in terms of the love triangle of Maya - Lucas- Riley made.

"I mean, it's obviously a lie. She's clearly putting that on, but I do think it was an interesting way to resolve it," Blanchard said to TVLine. "You can only do the love triangle thing so many times on TV, and I feel like we had an interesting take on it, where Riley's basically trying to shut down her feelings for him. I liked how it was really about human nature, what we will and won't do for people."
