Lamar Odom's current status has his close friends and family worried. Odom is said to have made progress on his health, but according to new reports, it would take more time for him to completely regain his motor and communication skills. What's more worrying is that the former LA Lakers star can't recognize some of his close friends and family, and his doctors believe that he has significant brain damage.

According to TMZ, Odom's health update is alarming as he only had little development since he was hospitalized on Oct.13. He can speak some words, but the troubled NBA star reportedly finds it hard to recognize even some of his old friends.

Speaking with Ellen on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Khloe Kardashian revealed the full scope of Odom's condition, Daily Mail reports.

"He is off all the machines that help his organs but he has such a long way to go," Kardashian told the host. "He's learning how to walk again and feed himself again and put sentences together. Cognitively there is a lot... it's along long road ahead. He couldn't  put words together today. But he understands."

The reality star went on to say that his husband still doesn't know why he's in the hospital. She revealed that he has to learn to do things again from the start, including feeding himself and speaking. It was reportedly hard for Khloe and other family members to speak about Odom's health as they believe it could prevent his progress.

"He's really confused a lot; we have to remind him. Every day is different," Kardashian continued.

She said sometimes he's not aware of who the president is or the date of his birthday. The former basketball player reportedly even thinks that he's only 26 sometimes. Dishing about her love and support for her former partner, Khloe claimed that her love for him will always be there.

"I love him and I always will and he's a fantastic person who deserves support and love and for someone to be by his side, and for me, I'm that to him," Khloe shared.

Khloe's interview with Ellen will be aired tonight.
