One of the ritzy penthouses at the luxurious Aqua high-rise apartments in Lakeshore East, Chicago is up for grabs. Reworked by world-renowned interior designer Kara Mann, the classy, ultra modern penthouse carries a heavy price tag of $2.595 million, Curbed.com reports.

The three-bedroom unit is redesigned with a more minimalist tone. While it is not as vibrant as modern mansions in the sky, the Kara Mann penthouse is certainly not simple. The property features 14-foot floor-to-ceiling glass windows, beautiful window treatments, and motorized Lutron shades. Throughout the house, one can easily spot the custom stone and millwork. The listing in Estately describes the unit as the "Best seat in the city for the Navy Pier fireworks".

The unit also comes with designer appliances and upgrades, which include a subzero fridge, Wolf range, and Miele dishwasher. The new owners will certainly enjoy the huge master suite, which comes with a large walk-in closet. The property ushers residents and guests to scenic views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River.

The unit was previously sold more than five years ago, in July 2010, for $1.5 million. The owners then listed the penthouse in September this year with an initial price of  $2.845 million, before slashing the rate down to $2.595 million.
